100 Best Songs Of All Time
We’ve all seen this line before. Whether it’s splattered across a popular music magazine, or across one of our favorite television channels, it seems everyone is trying to tell us who “they” think makes the best noise. And while that’s all very well and good of them, let’s face it, music is strictly a matter of opinion. I know, I know, shocking. But even as this may be obviously apparent to the many, we contiue to buy into reading (and watching) similar publications, only to adversely effect music everywhere by handing over control to the biased nature of media.
Think about it. Everyone has an opinion, and most people enjoy the idea of others believing in those same opinions. So what’s there to gain? Well, everything. Put yourself in the shoes as the owner of one of these magazines or television stations. Your in the bussiness to make money and to sell to the widest range of people possible. What do you do? You appeal to the widest range of people possible by advertising based on the most popular trends, and in this case, bands. Keep listening to your music, but remember the only opinion that matters is your own.
