How Has Digitally Media Affected The Music Industry
The music industry is not a big fan of the digital media age. Too keep up with the times, the music industry will have to learn to adapt. There is no going backwards. There is only going forward. With the ability to digitaly download music to an iphone or computer or even the ipod, cd sales have taken a big hit. Music artist will not make as much money off of their music like it used to be in earlier years. The music industry is slowly adapting to this digital age. This helps explain it more.
There is still a charge to customers when they download music. It does cost less than buying a cd. Someone is still making money off of digital sales. Not only can you download music, you can pick up radio stations on the internet or the phone. The music industry is growing and will continue to grow with the help of Apple, Amazon and even Google. Back in 2011, it had been reported that digital sales were up along with album sales. The album sales were dying at one point. Album sales are holding their own. No matter what music will continue to be sold and bought, digital or not.
