Eli, Pagoda, Royal, Margot, Dusty, Richie and even young Dudley…all [y]our favorite characters from The Royal Tenenbaums now in mini-figure form. Almost as awesome as this:
Royal: Can we get somebody over here to kill these mice for us?
Margot: No. They belong to Chas. Or anyway he invented them.
Royal: Get him to stick them in a fucking cage or something.

Every now and then we benefit from seeing reminders that open our eyes to why we’re working so hard. It can be song lyrics, a Pecha Kucha presentation or a badass piece of art. For the professional dreamer in me, it was this line from an inspiring wall sticker, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” So true. Check out more designs at Mm.

If coloring ever induces hunger, these edible crayons by the blogger behind Luxirare are the perfect medium. Only healthy ingredients such as dried strawberries, sunflower seeds, dried peas, and more were used to create these non-toxic, colorful treats/drawing utensils. Would you nervously take a bite out of one of these or would you use them up for coloring? If these were sold in stores, would they belong to the snacks section or the arts and crafts aisle?

I wish this Status Update calendar designed by Burak Kaynak would get mass produced. It’s a daily calendar notebook that is a physical embodiment of the status update box. The only limit is the paper size (so you can write as small or big as you want) and it’s fun to look back at past activities that cyberstalkers can’t browse through.

MSW are renowned for their lighting design and this tower installation in Vienna shows an unprecedented example of the architectural relevance of video. The visual twists and turns consist of line and framework constellations that interpret the building by running in various directions, gauges and forms. Amazing work but I’d hate to see the utility bill.

I’ve never liked the taste of black or green tea but after seeing this absolutely stunning product design for LemonAid Beverages, I’m ready to drink up. Another bonus, the bottle incorporates silk-screened design instead of labels. So rad!

Street art is super hot right now so why not pop the question with a little help from your graffiti wall? This one went down July 9th and we couldn’t be happier for two people we’ve never met.

I’m loving this map put together by designer Steph Goralnick! She used New York City street maps like puzzle pieces to create a fictional land that happens to look kind of like San Francisco. What street maps would you shuffle around to make an entirely new map? What would you tell people if they asked where the place is? Would you just mess with their minds? I would.

New York-based design studio Mogollon knows how to combine two into one with these nice mash-ups. The graphics work in sync with the models’ poses to make really neat visuals and their other works aren’t so bad either. In fact, they’re quite dreamy. Just check out this Madonna cover art! A blank greeting card can be very versatile, but sometimes it has generic art displayed on the front that doesn’t express the right sentiments. I love this card from Lazy Oaf because it can be used in any sort of context for a wide range of occasions. If you like this card, you’ll be probably like the others. What would you use this “SHIT!” card for? Belated birthday greetings? An apology to your wife about forgetting a wedding anniversary? For no reason at all but to give it to someone because it’s just that awesome? The possibilities are clearly endless.
