Every now and then we benefit from seeing reminders that open our eyes to why we’re working so hard. It can be song lyrics, a Pecha Kucha presentation or a badass piece of art. For the professional dreamer in me, it was this line from an inspiring wall sticker, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” So true. Check out more designs at Mm.

No matter how confident you are, sometimes you just need a little bit of reassurance. Rebecca of Rar Rar Press totally gets this and that’s why she stood out as one my favorite vendors at Renegade Craft Fair Los Angeles. Her postcards and posters instantly made me smile and had the edgy positive vibes that separate them from the usual Hallmark pc bullshit. They make a perfect gift for you or your friends and if you ever wanted a creative way to convince someone to visit, this has got to win them over. Right?

Ever wish that wounded soldier still tasted crisp in the morning? Enter Beer Savers. Made with flexible, dishwasher safe silicon, one caps their brew when, for whatever reason, they are prevented from finishing the overwhelming 12-22oz bottle. So do they work? I tested these out myself, and yes, they keep a brewski fresh overnight, but the better question is: why are you nursing your beer? Instead, use them to fend off booze bandits at a party, identify your drink in a crowded bar, or keep homebrew bottles sterile while your pale ale is fermenting. It would be neat if you could customize the caps with funny phrases like “brb, breaking the seal” or “next round’s on you.” For less than the cost of a sixer, you can be cooler than the guy that brought his own koozie.

It’s true, vintage furniture is so hot even Crate and Barrel is getting in on the trend. There’s no denying this desk is hot shit and you will look cooler than Cool Hand Luke while sitting behind it, but unless you sell your car, laptop and ditch the health insurance, you’re probably like me and can’t afford it. Oh well, maybe we should have a furniture party and make it ourselves? [via CM]

I love you more than movie night. I love you more than playing XBOX. I love you more than Paul Frank socks. I love you more than fixies. I love you more than thin crust pizza with fresh tomatoes and pineapple. I love you more than I Love You Man. I love you more than…oh this is fun. I really love this bag.

They sure don’t seem comfy but damn they look cool. From Edwards Moore Architects, these rustic bar stools are formed from reclaimed timber off-cuts. [via YMFM]

I’ve been tearing through episodes of Mad Men to get ready for the season premiere and for sure one of the things I appreciate about that show is seeing what Donnie Draper’s creative team draws up for their pitches to clients. Vintage European Posters out of Berkeley has a massive collection of overseas posters from that era and before, and I can say that seeing them blown-up and firsthand is even more impressive. My favorite has to be the travel section – there was such a romantic appeal to flying before it became so commonplace.

Incase just came out with a revamped collection of their Nylon packs and bags! Unfortunately, I already own one of their previous laptop backpacks, so I don’t have any reason to buy one of their new ones. I enjoy the excitement I get from figuring out what to put in each compartment. If you do, too, then perhaps it wouldn’t be a bad idea to purchase one. However, if you don’t need one, the least you can do is trick yourself into thinking that you do need a new place to carry your stuff (which would be really bad but who cares, these bags are so nice).

If button down patterns is your thing (they sure are mine) then you’re in for a treat. Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons Man is a mouthful to say but throw on one of these fall/winter collection shirts and you’re hipster cred just went to eleven. More detailed images on Hypebeast.

What happens when you mix retro imagery, Lycra and an attractive state of mind? These sexy suits from We Are Handsome. What’s more, the swimwear is handmade in Australia, so rest assured you’ll be the most beautiful and unique snowflake on the block. I prefer the Arabia because nothing says bold like a black beauty galloping across your body. The fun doesn’t have to stop at water’s edge either since they would also look chic with your favorite denim ensemble. Good onya, mates! [via kris atomic]
