It’s been out for a while now but with summer in full swing, Little Joy’s video for “Next Time Around” has me itching for vacation. Shot on Super 8 film in Rio de Janeiro, this vintage gem couldn’t be any more perfect.

Wow, I’m so impressed by this short film, shot and edited entirely on the iPhone 4 and using the iMovie App. Did I mention they did it in 48 hours? Brilliant. As if you needed any more reasons to upgrade. Thanks to Jason for the tip.

I love meeting people that think big. And while I’ve never met Rachel Botsman or Roo Rogers, I get the feeling we’d be BFF in no time. Their new book, What’s Mine is Yours hits stores this September and to wet your appetite, they crafted a video that hits all the right buttons. The future is [y]ours and I couldn’t be more excited! Maybe we should all team up for a massive book tour of creativity?!

Spain’s chill-wave kids, Delorean are at it again. I doubt this is their official music video but it sure as hell should be. Oh, what I wouldn’t do to be at this fiesta! [thanks, Brooke]

I’ve always been a fan of Minus The Bear (full disclosure: Holiday Matinee worked PR back in the heyday for their previous band, Sharks Keep Moving). Their sound is sharp, edgy and gets your body shakin’. And even though this looks like a Gap ad, I love when guys in their 30s, with long hair and beards, can rock out and get a groove on. Dig it! (Thanks Scott for the tip!)

In this really short film directed by Davis Sillis, the thinking process involves a cigarette,  a martini, and orange juice. The smile on the actor’s face at 5 seconds into the video was great indication that the next 55 seconds would be awesome, so brace yourself for it when you watch it. I give this video cool points for not using a horrible intro sequence using a colored background and title text in the Papyrus font face. The fake old film style of is nice, too.

Anyone who kicks off a song by quoting Say Anything scores major points in my book. And that’s exactly what London’s Summer Camp does with this little gem of indie-pop magic called “Ghost Train.” It’s probably the most carefree music video I’ve seen all year. Both musically and visually, Summer Camp will have you crushing in no time.

Record Makers is an independent French label celebrating 10 years. For the occasion, contemporary artists Mrzyk & Moriceau have conceived a truly surrealistic game in which you can create random art with one finger and win awesome prizes. Download the free app here but first check out the most amazing animated video promo, ever. It’s below silly.

Beck’s Record Club is beyond cool. We’ve written about the concept before but Beck recently brought the band back together for a killer cover of INXS “Guns in the Sky”. Super rad to watch it all unfold in the studio.

Holy crap, this is amazing. The Morning Benders assembled an all-star cast of friends and fellow SF musicians to create a music video work of art for their song “Excuses”. Seriously, I’ve watched this on repeat multiple times and it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I’m a huge fan of music documentaries and this certainly has that behind the scenes feel. It’s the kind of stuff that makes you want to play music. Wow.
