My friend Jennifer is starting up her own dating service for the alternative crowd.  She is trying to fill the void between those so-called "normal" dating sites.  I think this is a great idea so I am fulling supporting her new endeavor.  I am bummed I won't be able to make the first event this Wednesday night.  Even though I'm not single, I still wanted to go and show my support.  This is a great opportunity to meet someone new.

Dying To Meet You...5 Minute Sessions Of Intrigue is an event where you can meet a group of people in a short amount time.  It's happening at The Ruby Kitchen in Hillcrest, 21+.

The evening will start with signing in and getting a number, a sample of questions (just in case you don’t know what to ask), and a form to fill out for suitors you are interested in. One couple per table, timer starts and the fun begins. After 5 minutes one of you will get up and each of you will circle on your form yes (if you would like to get to know the person more) or no ( not interested). Then the next person will sit down and the timer will start again. This will go on till all couples have met. Then you will turn in your forms and you can enjoy yourselves in the Ruby Room for more drinks. Jennifer will tally the forms and inform you the next day of any matches (where you both said yes you are interested).  She will email you and the interested suitor your email addresses. If there were no matches for you that night you can always come again.
