Ponies & Diamonds with Tegan & Sara

With undergarments catapulting the stage, identical twin sisters Tegan and Sara, traditionally known for playing small bars and clubs, turned to the sizable Copley Symphony Hall for an epic San Diego performance. They’re on the road promoting their sixth full-length album, Sainthood, and belted out new tracks like “On Directing” and “Alligator.” While Tegan and Sara’s memories of San Diego include sleeping in a van in the Taco Bell parking lot, it’s safe to assume they’ve upgraded to decent digs. But the Quin twins made sure to let the audience know they aren’t taking their success for granted. Unless, of course, you happen to catch them off the road, relaxing on their “pony farm, draped in diamonds.” Without a doubt, my favorite jam of the night was their acoustic version of “Feel It in My Bones,” which took on a completely different tone without Tiësto. You best not miss this duo at a venue near you this spring.
